Fried Sesame Chicken Recipe (Must Try)

Try this delicious Fried Sesame Chicken, a perfect Snack of all seasons.

Ingredients (Base Marination)

  1. Chicken Drumsticks (Skin off) – 10 pieces
  2. Salt – 1 Teaspoon (or to Taste)
  3. Tikka Masala (Spice) – 1 Teaspoon
  4. Soy Sauce – 1 Tablespoon
  5. White Vinegar – 2 Tablespoons
  6. Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce – 2 Tablespoons
  7. Chili Garlic Sauce (Huy Fong) – 1 Teaspoon (Optional)
  8. Black Pepper – 1 Teaspoon
  9. Citric Acid – 1/2 Teaspoon

Ingredients (Sesame Slurry)

  1. Corn Starch – 2 Tablespoons
  2. Water – 4 Tablespoons (1/2 Cup)
  3. Sesame Seed – 1 Teaspoon

 

Method

Stage-1 (Cooking)

  1. Prick chicken drumsticks with a knife.
  2. Mix all ingredients into a bowl to make marination.
  3. Add chicken into the marination thoroughly mixing it and leave it for 30 min.
  4. Take a pot, pour chicken with marination, cover with a lid and cook it for 25 min on low-medium heat till most of the water is evaporated.
  5. Chicken is thoroughly cooked at this stage and we can move to Stage-2 for Frying.

Stage-2 (Frying)

  1. Heat cooking oil in a Wok for deep frying on medium heat.
  2. Take the drumsticks one by one, dip them into the Sesame Slurry, and add them to the cooking oil for frying.
  3. Turn them over once and cook until golden brown. It usually takes about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Serve with french fries or fresh garden salad.
