Easy Banoffee Trifle Recipe

Try this rich and creamy Banana-Toffee Trifle dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients (Caramel Sauce)

  1.  Sugar – 1 Cup
  2.  Water – 1/4 Cup
  3.  Unsalted Butter – 2 Tablespoons (Melted)
  4.  Cream (Full Fat – 35%) – 1 Cup

Ingredients (Trifle)

  1.  Cream (Full Fat – 35%) – 3 Cups
  2.  Icing Sugar – 1/4 Cup
  3.  Gram Crackers (or) Mary Biscuits- 20 pieces (crumbled)
  4.  Bananas – 6 (Diced)
  5. Walnuts – 4 (Crushed for Garnishing)

 

Method (Caramel Sauce)

Step 1. Heat up Sugar and Water in a shallow pan on l0w-medium heat to melt.

Step 2. When the color starts to become golden brown, add butter and cream to it and remove from heat and stir mix it.

Step 3. Set aside and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.

 

Method (Trifle)

Step 1. Beat cream and sugar for around 5 minutes till soft peaks are formed. Whipped cream is ready, set it aside.

Step 2. Take a serving dish and lay down the first layer of crumbled cookies (1/4th of the total amount).

Step 3. Add the whipped cream as the second layer.

Step 4. Layer up diced bananas and top it up with caramel sauce drizzles.

Step 5.  Repeat layering procedure from step-2 to step-3 till all ingredients are used.

Step 6. (Optional) Garnish with crushed walnuts.

Step 7.  Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
